Our Story
Established in 2019, Nrityaang Kathak Foundation is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the Banaras Gharana of Kathak. With a vision to reconnect the younger generation with India’s cultural roots, Nrityaang serves as a vibrant platform for traditional training, creative exploration, and cultural education. The foundation believes in nurturing not just skilled dancers, but culturally rooted individuals who understand the depth and philosophy behind the classical arts.
Nrityaang is the brainchild of Sneha Bajaj and Rudra Shankar Mishra, two devoted and accomplished practitioners of the Banaras Gharana. With a strong foundation in the guru-shishya parampara, both artists bring years of experience as performers, educators, and cultural ambassadors. Sneha is known for her graceful abhinaya, emotive storytelling, and refined technique, while Rudra brings powerful rhythm, precision, and an intense spiritual connection to his art. Together, they represent the perfect balance of expression and energy—carrying forward the legacy of their gharana with sincerity, discipline, and passion. Their combined vision and dedication form the soul of Nrityaang, making it not just an institute, but a movement to bring Kathak back to its roots.
